Got the GiST – Cashbook Layout

Got the GiST have released a new report format. This excel based report more closely mimics a traditional cashbook layout. The categories of transaction are listed across the page, and the values of the transactions are in the columns that are for the categories they relate to. There are also totals per category, GST totals, and a grand total value which shows the net change in cash position for your company.

To access this new report layout, just run a Transaction Report from the Report page within Got the GiST, generate the report, and then click on the Excel (cashbook layout) link at the bottom of the report page.

This report was introduced because of user feedback for such a report. If you have any features you would like to see in Got the GiST, just use the contact form on the Got the GiST website to let us know.

Got the GiST – Maintenance Release

There was a maintenance release to Got the GiST today.

Changed: Layouts – we have tidied the login screen, categories screen, cashbook details, reports and imported transactions. There were a couple of small CSS faults which were making the application appear differently in different web browsers.

New: Now the Excel export of the transaction report has the column totals at the bottom. If you have split transactions we recommend you choose to expand the split transactions if you are planning to use the total values.
